This video focuses on maintenance and repair work on Damon Mitchell’s main Schecter. The guitar had multiple mechanical issues affecting tuning stability and intonation. The high E saddle spring did not have enough tension to hold the saddle in place, so it was removed and replaced. Significant grime buildup in the bridge was preventing the saddles and springs from moving freely, which meant intonation adjustments were not actually moving the saddles. Each saddle and slot was cleaned and lubricated so everything could move and respond correctly. Both strap button holes were also wallered out and no longer holding securely. They were repaired using hardwood dowels, glue, proper redrilling, and new screws to restore structural strength and reliability. After repairs, the guitar was checked for tuning stability, intonation accuracy, and playability. It is now stable, responsive, and gig ready.
